New Fabrics!

Here's what's new in the shop this week:

Just in time for summer sewing, Grand Cayman from Marjolein Bastin, two lush tropical prints perfect for tote bags, summer skirts, and seasonal throw pillows:

Southern Je Ne Sais Quoi by Stephanie Brandenburg, also great for some fresh pillows or as the star in your next quilt:

Summerland by Skipping Stone Studio is a little more muted; this collection would make a nice throw quilt on its own, or tackle a more structured bag for year-round use:

If you'd rather think ahead for fall, we've got you covered with Sleepy Hollow and Sunflower prints from P&B, and the lovely Saffron collection from Exclusively Quilters:

And finally, a collection that's truly for all seasons; It's Elementary by Jacqueline Paton, featuring a panel for each of the four seasons plus several coordinating prints:

Kits for easy summer sewing

 

 

 We fell in love with the light and airy, summer-by-the-pool colors of this quilt.  It's sized just right to snuggle up on cool summer nights out on the porch, or throw it over the couch to bring the colors of summer indoors.  The quilt is strip-pieced and comes together quickly. 

 

We've made up kits with enough pastel batiks for the top and binding, or come in and choose your own fabrics to make it anything you wish!  Patterns by Atkinson Designs are available separately. 

For an even quicker fix, try these sweet seasonal wall hangings.  (They're just the right size to hang on the door, too!)

 

Whip up the flag banner in time to celebrate the 4th, get started on daylilies or sunflowers for late summer, or jump ahead to the pumpkins so you'll be ready for fall (our favorite season!)

 

 

 

 These little kits come with fabric for the front, back, and binding, plus the pattern, all neatly packed in a little paper bag, ready for to go home with you!  They also make a great little gift for a quilty friend in need of some summer cheer.

Batiks for Summer!

We have some lovely new batiks on our wall for summer!  The colors are fresh and the patterns are inviting, come in and see!  The diamond print would make a perfect beach tote, no?
