Carla's Stars in Modern Solids

Let us show you a stunning project that our employee, Carla has been working on.

This quilt was made using the free pattern that comes with the Rapid-Fire Lemoyne Star ruler.
The fabrics are from the Modern Solids collection by In the Beginning Fabrics.  This fabric is so special because, the warp and weft threads are dyed two different colors before being woven together.  This gives the fabric a subtle shimmer and added depth that you don't find in typically dyed solids.  The fabric is wonderfully soft and drapey, too.

I always like to see the back of quilt tops, don't you?  It's like a secret that gets hidden forever once the quilt is finished.
The quilt is all quilted now and hanging near the main cutting counter in the shop.  The twinkling stars around the edges finish it off perfectly.  Come by and see it!
These are the Modern Solids II with nice bright, clear colors that Carla used for her project.  We also still carry the original Modern Solids, which have richer, more earthy tones.  Both are just gorgeous.
